After a pile of delays, we learned of its current release date earlier this year. It's been a long road to release for Gollum, as the game was originally scheduled to come out in 2021. The gameplay will also feature elements of stealth and parkour. Players will sneak around Middle-earth while making choices to align with either the darker Gollum or gentler Sméagol.
A Nintendo Switch version is scheduled for sometime later this year.
On Thursday, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will launch on PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. IGN has reached out to developer Daedalic Entertainment for comment. There are threads on both Reddit and resetera discussing the leaked footage. The video has since been taken down, but it stayed online for several hours before it was removed. We won't share or link to any spoilers here, but someone posted a video walkthrough of the whole game on YouTube.
